A candidate who is running for a seat on the Mountain House board of directors in November was appointed to a vacant seat on the board Thursday, Sept. 16.
Community volunteer Celeste Farron was chosen from among five other applicants to fill the seat left vacant by former director Eric Payne last month.
Farron is one of four Mountain House residents on the November ballot. She faces community services district board member Mike Klinkner, software technologist Rajesh Dighe and entrepreneur Jass Singh.
Two seats on the five-person board are up for election in November.
Other applicants for the vacant seat included Mountain House residents Sara Watkins, Luis Rodriguez Sr., Lance Quesada, Chandrashekar Paladugula and Grace Valencia.
