Sherlock, a 2-year-old pug mix, is housetrained and well behaved. This loving lap dog would do best in a family with one other dog but no cats: He is frightened of cats, even when they’re sitting still, and will not walk past them anywhere in the house, but instead yelps for someone to rescue him. He has no bad habits, but he appears to lack self-confidence and needs some extra TLC.

• Animal Rescue of Tracy is a nonprofit, all-volunteer rescue group that has pet adoption fairs for dogs and cats from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. the last two Sundays of each month at Petsmart, 2477 N. Naglee Road. Members will also make arrangements during the week to show animals in rescue.

Sweet faced dog, looked apprehensive, though. Poor thing, wish I could take him!

Hope he finds a home soon!
