Tournament organizer Darlene Wilharm said it will be a Division III tournament for under-14 and under-16 girls this year, and 26 teams are expected, including five from Tracy United Competitive Soccer Club.
It’s a California Youth Soccer Association tournament, and teams from all around California, including some from as far north as Ukiah, will visit Tracy for two days of play.
Games will be played Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 7 and 8, at Plasencia Fields and Tracy Sports Complex.
This is the first of two annual tournaments hosted by the league. On Aug. 21 and 22, teams will gather in Tracy for the Scott Wilharm Memorial Summer Classic, the annual boys tournament, now in its 16th year.
