Body found east of Tracy in apparent homicide

Investigators are trying to identify a man whose body was dragged into a ditch near Kasson and Greenwood roads this morning in what appears to be a homicide.

A jogger reported finding the man's body at 9:15 this morning in an irrigation ditch along the road near the intersection of Greenwood and Kasson roads, about 8 miles east of Tracy, said San Joaquin County Sheriff's spokesman Les Garcia.

The man had been dragged from the shoulder into a ditch, leaving a heavy trail of blood, and had injuries that indicated the man was killed.

"What caused those injuries, we don't know yet," Garcia said.

Investigators said the man was likely killed somewhere else, and his body dumped in the ditch.

evelynsaballos, my sympathy and prayers to you, your friend and to the entire family.

I sincerely hope whoever is responsible for this cowardly act is found quickly and justice is served.

How is it possible that there are animals like that out there! why would anyone kill a man the way he got killed! they dont know the suffering from their families. they didnt touch their heart or thought of that poor mans family'S pain! But i do know the pain his family is going through and specially his son, BECAUSE THAT DEAD MAN'S SON, HAS BEEN A REALLY GOOD FRIEND OF MINE SINCE THE FIRST DAY OF MIDDLE SCHOOL. AND YES IM ONLY 16. I HOPE THEY those beasts and let them rott in hell! Sorry for my words, but thats how i feel. I do stand up for my friend and his family! And its just not fair to see him everyday going through that pain. knowing he wont see his father ever again! Hope they do justice!
