Eleven residents are vying for two seats on the Tracy Planning Commission.

The City Council will appoint two people to the five-member citizens’ board at its meeting Tuesday night. Commissioners vote on land-use decisions, though the council has the ultimate say.

Commissioners serve four-year terms and meet at 7 p.m. the second and fourth Wednesday of each month in City Hall, 333 Civic Center Plaza.

Charles Manne seeks to be reappointed to his seat, which he has held since May, when he was chosen to carry out Carol Blevins’ term. He is an insurance agent.

Last month, Marc Shishido abruptly resigned from his seat on the commission, which was set to expire next month. Shishido quit after the city made public a letter that accused him of misusing his city post.

The council, at its most recent meeting, voted against looking further into the matter and will not reply to the attorney who sent the January letter.

James Caling, a solar energy developer

John Forrest, a business systems analyst for a staffing firm

Good grief, I hope the don't select a TRAK member.

I think those people already did enough.
