In the 11-12 Major division, the Athletics will face the Tigers on Thursday. The Athletics earned their spot in the championship game Monday with a 4-2 win over the Braves. Mojo Atwal led the Athletics in scoring with a two-run homer in the third, and Alex Camarillo scored twice after he got two base hits and twice stole second and third. He scored on a sacrifice fly early in the game and took home on a wild pitch in the fifth.
The Major division Tigers made it to the championship with an 8-7 win over the Giants. The teams were tied 6-6 in extra innings, and the Tigers took an 8-6 lead in the top of the eighth. The Giants scored one more in the bottom of the eighth and had runners in scoring position when third baseman Austin Cookley fielded a grounder and made a play to catcher Peter Creasman at the plate to prevent the tying run. The Tigers got the final out when Creasman tagged out a runner who tried to steal home on a passed ball.
In the 9-10 Minor division, the Giants will face the Red Sox on Thursday. The Giants took a 9-8 win over the White Sox on Monday for a spot in Thursday’s championship game. The White Sox took a five-run lead in the first inning, but the Giants tied it up in the second with a rally highlighted by Aaron Wagner’s bases-loaded double to bring in three runs. The Sox pulled ahead in the fourth and made it 8-5 in the sixth on Mike Manley’s two-run triple. In the bottom of the sixth, the Giants loaded the bases and scored one run on a walk before Kyle Silveira bashed a three-run triple to bring in the winning run.
The Red Sox, who were 14-1-1 in the regular season, had a bye in the first round and beat the Yankees in the second round Saturday. They won their game against the Athletics on Tuesday to gain a spot in the championship game Thursday.

In the 7-8 B bracket, the Yankees will play in the Friday title game after they beat the Pirates on Tuesday. They face the winner of today’s game between the Blue Jays and Giants.

Phillyparent09..if your son was one of those boys that YOU worked with and improved throughout the year and showed heart and dedication I praise you ..if YOU were NOT ...then you have some parenting/coaching to do on your own time. We coaches put in a lot of our own time (and I personally love working with kids that WANT to get better) and we ask only that the parents do their own share to make sure their kids are out there with a purpose should you chose to sign them up for ANY sport. We arent there to babysit..we are there to make them better ball players and hopefully better young men/boys as a result of their experience. All of our kids arent great athletes but they all can and should be great teammates
And about me spinning answers to make myself feel good, well I gotta tell you I love the fact that you people LOVE TO HATE US!!!!
Now the fact that the league seperated the 9 and 10 year olds for allstars was totally up to the league, so reguardless that they were chosen or not, our Whitesox coaches would have still been showing up even if they did not get chosen as coaches, for the simple fact of supporting their boys!!!!
well learning how to play ball has to come from you parents at home first. Our Coaches are'nt magician's they are there to teach the basic fundamentals, And to say coaching was at a minimal until they were chosen for Allstars is a joke , you obviously were'nt @ all the practices. So you tell me why did they get chosen for Allstar coaches, they must of been doing something right! Its sad that parents like you will sit here and bad mouth the coaches, but yet you wont get involved to help your own child out!
