Ila Jean James, 88, a Tracy resident since 2012, died Friday at her home with her family around her. Services will be private.

Mrs. James, a native of Stonewall, Okla., was born June 3, 1926. She lived in Livermore for 50 years before moving to Tracy. She worked 15 years at Feinstein Drug Store in San Leandro, where she sold cosmetics.

Survivors include two children, Terry James of Covington, Ga., and Dale Lynn James, and his wife, Jan, of Tracy; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 66 years, Eugene Thomas James, who died in 2013; her parents, Grover Cleveland and Eva Mae Byrd Fish; and seven siblings.

Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., is handling arrangements. Private services will take place at Sanger-Del Rey Cemetery in Sanger.
