Daisy, a 5- or 6-year-old pit bull mix, needs a new home because her foster family moved away for work. She is affectionate and would do well with older children who are used to animals. Daisy weighs about 60 pounds and is learning commands and how to socialize with other dogs. She should go to a home with an experienced owner, and she should be the only pet. Daisy is spayed, microchipped and current on all vaccines. For more information, visit her Facebook page, “Daisy’s New Adventures.” Animal Rescue of Tracy, an all-volunteer nonprofit rescue group, has pet adoption fairs for dogs and cats from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays in the Macy’s wing of the West Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road. The group is also running a “Back to Black” special with discounted adoption fees for black or black-and-white cats and kittens through September. For information: 642-4324 or www.animalrescuetracy.org.

Layne, a 4-month-old Maltese mix, is available for adoption from East of Eden rescue. Layne is an affectionate lap dog. She will be at Petco, 2888 W. Grant Line Road, from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. To learn more, contact Sheri Savage at eoerescue@yahoo.com or 925-980-3035. East of Eden is a nonprofit animal rescue organization.
