Tracy Leadership Club installs officers

A new slate of officers took charge of Tracy Leadership Club on Tuesday, installed by Toastmasters district governor Wes Johnson.

Maureen Tobin Bastedenbeck is president for 2014-15, assisted by vice presidents Chris Foley, education; Jonathon Colton, membership; and Sam Wong, public relations. Connie Vieira is secretary-treasurer, and Lucy Kaye is sergeant-at-arms.

Club member Edrees Argand showed his comedic side in his icebreaker speech, and Table Topics was replaced by a Round Robin.

The club welcomes new members and meets at noon Tuesdays at City Hall, Room 203, 333 Civic Center Drive.

Widowed Persons of California meets Saturday

The local chapter of Widowed Persons of California meets the second Saturday of each month at Four Corners Restaurant, at the corner of MacArthur Drive and Linne Road. The meeting begins at 11:30 a.m.

Any person who has lost a spouse is welcome to attend. Lunch is $12, and dues are $25 per year.
