Services will be Friday for America Garcia, 88, who died June 6 in Tracy.

Born in Cuba on Sept. 25, 1925, Mrs. Garcia lived in Ecuador and Miami before moving to California 40 years ago. She attended Tracy Southern Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Alfonso Garcia, and his wife, Melva, of Tracy.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Arturo Garcia; a daughter, Daisy Garcia; a brother, Pedro Valdivia; and a twin sister, Eva Monteagudo.

A celebration of her life will begin at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., followed by a committal service at Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. Visitation will be observed beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. A guest book can be viewed at www.frymemorialchapel.com.
