A man and woman arrested Wednesday for growing and selling marijuana in Tracy will appear in court Friday.

Jian Long, 44, of New York and Guo Wu, 47, of Tracy face charges of cultivating marijuana, possession of pot with the intent to sell it and stealing utility services after officers raided a home on the 700 block of Weeping Willow Lane at about 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Long was also charged with attempting to receive stolen property.

Officers found what they say is one million dollars worth of marijuana and estimated the pair had stolen the equivalent of $37,000 in utilities at the Weeping Willow home.

Wu and Long are under arrest with $120,000 bail each. Both will appear in the Manteca Branch of San Joaquin County Superior Court today at 1:30 p.m.

Police warn that marijuana grow operations present a high danger of fire that could spread to adjacent homes and urge people to call Tracy Crime Stoppers at 831-4847 to anonymously report drug-operations.
