Engagement: Rothrock, Cocilova to marry in June

Marika Kirana Rothrock and Alex Robert Cocilova, Tracy High School Class of 2005, are engaged to be married June 7, 2014, in Santa Rosa.

Now residents of Petaluma, the couple met and began dating in 2008 while attending California State University, Fresno. They became engaged Dec. 15, 2012, in San Francisco.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Endang and Guy Rothrock of Petaluma and granddaughter of Alice Rothrock of Denver. She is employed by JS Design and Build of Napa. Marika graduated from Casa Grande High School in 2005 and from Fresno State in 2010, earning a bachelor’s degree in interior design.

The groom-to-be, son of Anita Ann and Alan Robert Cocilova of Tracy, also graduated from Fresno State in 2010, earning a bachelor’s degree in English. He is working at Chipotle Mexican Grill in Petaluma. Alex is brother to Amber Lyn Cocilova of Fresno and grandson to Kathi and Charles Kennedy of Wilton, the late Nancy Kennedy and the late Maryann and Bob Cocilova.

Their wedding party includes Marie Vizcaino of Petaluma, Marika’s maid of honor, accompanied by the groom’s sister Amber, Jessica Stogsdill of Tucson, Ariz., and Crystal Morales of Tulare as bridesmaids. Alex’s best man is Diego Garcia of Fresno, accompanied by groomsmen Kevin Cook of Tracy and Brian Dewolf of Azuza and groomswoman Heather Stenger of Tracy.

After a honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii, the couple will make their home together in Petaluma.
