Boys golf: Local players end season at division tournaments

Local golfers finished their spring season at the division level Monday at golf courses around the Sac-Joaquin Section.

Tracy High’s top golfer was Gavin Bean, who shot 88 at Elkhorn Golf Club in Stockton in the Division I South tournament. His teammates Jared Finney and Talon Simmons both shot 94.

West High's Mark Olson shot 95 at the Division I South tournament, Austin Smith shot 97, Nick Carrera, 105 and Garrett Morris, 107.

Teams moving on to the Masters tournament are Lodi High, the division champion, and Lincoln and Buhach Colony. Six at-large individuals who shot 79 or better will also advance.

At the Division IV tournament at Manteca Golf Course, Kimball High’s Reese Maxfield shot 86 and Chris Maxfield shot 94. Division IV teams headed to Masters are Central Catholic and Vista Del Lago, plus three at-large golfers who shot 77 or better.

Delta Charter and Millennium were represented at the Division VI tournament Monday at Haggin Oaks, MacKenzie Course, in Sacramento.

For Delta Charter, junior Addison Jenkins shot 92 and junior Mario Perez shot 106. For Millennium, seniors David Walsh and Nick Ngo both shot 103. Turlock Christian will move on to the Masters tournament, as will three at-large individuals who shot 77 or better.
