Services will be Sunday for Carlos Gochicoa Ortega, 64, a graduate of Tracy High School who had been living in Oakland. He died Sunday at his home.

Mr. Ortega, a native of Pecos, Texas, was born Dec. 8, 1949. He was a military veteran and former employee of Mare Island Naval Shipyard and lived many years in Napa.

He is survived by two daughters, Ramona Ortega of New York and Mercedes Ortega of New Mexico; and a grandson. 

His parents, Maria Gochicoa and Francisco Ortega, preceded him in death.

Services will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday at Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave., in Oakland. An online guestbook can be accessed at sites.google.com/site/carlosgochicoaortega/.
