Gerald J. Boeve, 93, of Tracy, died Wednesday at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, at First Presbyterian Church, 101 Berverdor Ave. Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., is handling arrangements.

Nigel Ethan Nool, 15, a Tracy native and lifelong resident who was diagnosed in 2005 with a rare mitochondrial disorder, died early Sunday morning. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church of Tracy, 1610 East St. Visitation will be observed from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 10 p.m. Friday at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Carlos Gochicoa Ortega, 64, a graduate of Tracy High School who had been living in Oakland, died Sunday. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday at Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave., in Oakland. An online guestbook can be accessed at

Mary E. Maciel, 85, a homemaker and 56-year resident of Vernalis, died Friday at her home. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 529 I St., in Patterson. Visitation will be observed from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church, followed immediately by a rosary. Burial will be private. Helen A. (Zalenski) Truszkowski, 95, a former Tracy resident, died April 15 in Brentwood after living with dementia for several years. A Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Brentwood. Inurnment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lynn.

Glenn William Barr, 54, a 25-year resident of Tracy, died April 15 in Tracy after battling cancer. As he wished, no services are planned, and burial will be private. Arrangements will be handled by Callaghan Mortuary, 3833 East Ave., in Livermore,

Susan Taylor Lent, 71, a Tracy native and Tracy High School graduate, died April 13 in Antioch. Graveside services are pending at Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road.
