Last week’s Remember When mystery photo, above, showed the cornerstone-laying ceremony at Tracy Fire Department’s Station No. 2 on Jan. 16, 1983.

The station — since renamed Chief Dan Watrous Station 96 — will be vacated sometime in May, and Station 96 operations will be moved to a new station farther west on Grant Line Road.

Today’s mystery photo, at top, shows a local farm manager in the 1970s. Who was he, and with what organization was he affiliated?
