Mrs. Albano, a native of San Francisco, was born Feb. 7, 1935. She worked at Tracy Camera Shop and Glotfelty’s Tracy Flower Shop before opening a clothing boutique, The Daisy, which she owned for many years. Her later career included jobs at Old World Travel and Michaels in Tracy, as well as marketing and sales positions in San Leandro and Walnut Creek.
Mrs. Albano served on the Tracy Chamber of Commerce, participated in the Tracy Garden Club and Children’s Home Society and was a charter member of a local sewing group that met regularly for more than 50 years. She also served on the altar guild at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
Survivors include a son, Michael Albano; a sister, Candace “Candy” Krohn Short, and her husband, David, of Santa Barbara; a sister-in-law, Nancy Levelle of Burlingame; an aunt; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death were her husband, George Albano; her mother and stepfather, Margaret and Robert Krohn; her father, Godfrey Rachford; a brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Mary Albano; a sister-in-law, Ann Albano; and a daughter-in-law, Ann Ladish Albano.
Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. May 9, followed by a celebration of Mrs. Albano’s life. Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., is handling arrangements. An online guest book can be signed at www.frymemorialchapel.com.
