Last week’s Remember When mystery photo, at right, showed Paul Johnson wearing his Lions Club vest in 1997. A farmer and accountant, he was a longtime secretary of the Tracy Lions Club, in addition to serving as president.

Frank Lima recalls Johnson’s active participation in the club, which was founded in 1922 and disbanded in 1999. The Tracy Breakfast Lions Club and Tank Town Lions Club continue the Lions tradition in Tracy.

In addition to Lima, Karla Woodard also identified Johnson’s photo.

Today’s photo, at top, shows a group of Tracy firefighters standing near a fire truck during a public display of department equipment. Who are they and what was the occasion?
