Mr. Figuracion was a native of the Philippines, born Feb. 24, 1924, in Nabua, Camarines Sur. He served 21 years as an electrician in the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1967. He later worked five years for Cerro Copper Co. and 20 years for Fremont Unified School District and retired permanently in 1991.
A parishioner of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Mr. Figuracion was a member of the Filipino-American Association of Tracy and the Fremont Unified employees union.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Norma Figuracion of Tracy; five children, Alan Figuracion of Albuquerque, N.M., Ariel Figuracion of Fort Collins, Colo., and Sergio Figuracion, Ronald Figuracion and Gary Figuracion, all of Tracy; two sisters, Francisca Sedeno of San Diego and Genara Acuzar of the Philippines; one grandchild; and many other relatives.
Preceding him in death were a brother and a sister.
Friday’s Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard’s, 163 W. Eaton Ave. Burial will be in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. Visitation will be observed from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., followed immediately by recital of a rosary.
