Born Feb. 10, 1921, in Arkansas, Mrs. Kipp attended West Park School in Tracy and graduated from Tracy High School in 1938. She attended Humphreys College in Stockton and was hired by Fiberboard Corp., also in Stockton, where she met her future husband.
She later worked 27 years as manager of a credit union in Antioch and was a life member of the Soroptimist Club there.
The Kipps retired to their vacation home in Pioneer, and Mrs. Kipp volunteered in the Sutter Amador Hospital Auxiliary thrift shop until her 92nd birthday.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Kipp, and his wife, Shannon, of Redding and Tim Kipp of Pioneer; two sisters, Virginia Rose of Tracy and Georgia Edwards of Fountain Valley; a brother, Tom Sutton of Costa Rica; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, John Kipp; her parents, Ed and Gladys Sutton; and a brother, James Sutton.
Services for the family will be scheduled at a later date. Burial will be in the family plot in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road.
