Carmen Milagros Sarkar, 56, of Tracy, died Dec. 24 at her home. Services and burial will be conducted in Cayey, Puerto Rico.

Mrs. Sarkar, a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, was born April 28, 1957, and had lived in Tracy the past four years. She worked 18 years in sales at Meis and Sears department stores in Illinois and California, retiring in 2001.

Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Arindam Sarkar of Tracy; parents, Jose Colon of San Juan and Nativadad “Naty” Del Valle of Cayey; two siblings, Jose Colon and Myrna Colon, both of Cayey; and two nieces.

Visitation was observed at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave.

Contributions in Mrs. Sarkar’s name may be sent to a local Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or animal shelter of the donor’s choice.
