Golden is accused of 21 counts of lewd acts upon a child, 11 counts of molesting a child and one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child.
Deputy District Attorney Elton Grau told Judge Franklin Stephenson that something was going to happen at the hearing set for Monday.
Grau said he and Defense Attorney Patrick Riggs “won’t be wasting the courts’ time” after Stephenson warned he didn’t want to delay the Dec. 9 hearing if it was just another continuance.
Grau declined to comment further following Monday’s hearing but, in an interview Nov. 13, told the Tracy Press he was in negotiations with Riggs on a possible plea bargain agreement for Golden.
Riggs could not be reached for comment.
Golden is due back in court for a further pretrial hearing at 2 p.m. on Dec. 16 in Department 35.
Golden is being held in San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp on $22 million bail. His trial date remains set for 8:30 a.m. Feb. 7 in Stockton court.
