Tracy High’s volleyball team leads the local all-league lists with two players chosen as the San Joaquin Athletic Association’s most outstanding players in their positions.

Junior Casey Eddy-Berry, in her third year on the varsity team, is the SJAA’s most outstanding defensive player. Eddy-Berry, the team’s starting libero, went into the league season averaging about 15 digs per match and also turned out to be a leading server and attacker.

Sophomore Grace Murphy, a second-year varsity player, was chosen as the SJAA’s most outstanding hitter. Tracy coach Mahina Tankersley noted that Murphy started as a middle blocker in her freshman year, but quickly adjusted to a new role as outside hitter and became the Bulldogs’ attack leader this year.
