He said the men told him to lie on the floor and count to 10 when they left. He described them as Hispanic, one wearing a dark hoodie with black and white striped shorts and the other in a black jacket with a hood and dark pants.
They were last seen running south towards Bessie Avenue.
Tracy police received 1,055 calls for service from Thursday, Nov. 14 through Wednesday, Nov. 20. The following is a sampling of those calls.
Wednesday, Nov. 20:
1:21 a.m.: A resident told police he awoke to find his sliding door and dog door open on the 1800 block of Duncan Drive. He said he also found a screwdriver nearby. Police are investigating.
1:49 p.m.: A woman on the 2900 block of North MacArthur Drive said someone has been stealing her mail and used her new ATM card. Police are investigating.
3:17 p.m.: A resident reported a man lying prone in a garage on the 200 block of Cecilio Way. Police checked and found that the man was watching the rain.
6 p.m.: Police arrested a 41-year-old man for possession of drug paraphernalia and drugs after a traffic stop near Castle Court and Clover Road.
Tuesday, Nov. 19
12:10 p.m.: Police arrested a 27-year-old man for an unknown crime following a search of a home on the 2200 block of Gibraltar Lane.
2:17 p.m.: Police arrested a 29-year-old man for an outstanding warrant for battery near Hirsch Elementary School, 1280 Dove Drive. He was booked into county jail.
3:50 p.m.: Police arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of drunken driving near MacArthur Drive and Schulte Road.
Monday, Nov. 18
5:01 p.m.: Police surrounded a pickup that was reportedly stolen out of Patterson at the West Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road. Officers watched the truck for a time, but the alleged thieves never returned, and the truck was turned over to its owner.
8:30 p.m.: A resident said someone broke into his house on the 2600 block of Byron Road.
Sunday, Nov. 17
7:14 a.m.: A woman said a man shot at her home on the 200 block of Acacia Street. She said the shooter left in an Acura Integra going west. Police are investigating.
12:54 p.m.: A resident said someone broke into three of his vehicles overnight on the 1400 block of Locust Drive.
Saturday, Nov. 16
9:27 a.m.: A resident reported that someone broke into his house on the 200 block of West 12th Street.
10:17 a.m.: A clerk at Coldwell Banker called to report that he had video of a break-in at the 403 W. 11th St. business. Police are investigating.
Friday, Nov. 15
5:40 a.m.: A store clerk told police someone broke into Jazzercize, 1900 W. Grant Line Road. She said someone broke a front window and rummaged in a drawer. Police are investigating.
8:56 a.m.: A woman reported that someone punctured three tires on the 600 block of Sequoia Boulevard.
12:37 p.m.: A woman told police she arrived home and found her front door and screen door open on the 700 block of Eaton Avenue. She was not sure if anything had been taken.
Thursday, Nov. 14
6:53 a.m.: Police arrested a 44-year-old man for an unknown outstanding warrant near 11th Street and Jefferson Parkway. He was booked into county jail.
2:59 p.m.: Police are investigating an incident in which a student was hit by a truck in the parking lot of Kimball High School, 1775 W. Lowell Ave. The boy’s father said he had hurt his knee, and an ambulance was called to provide medical attention.
4:35 p.m.: A woman said someone broke into her mother’s house on the 100 block of Laguna Drive. She said her mother no longer lives there and the house has been put up for sale.
