Millennium High’s boys soccer season came to a close Wednesday, Nov. 13, as the Falcons were outplayed 5-0 by Capital Christian High of Sacramento in the semifinals of the Sac-Joaquin Section Division VI playoffs.

Millennium coach Dominic Figueroa said the Falcons (12-8-2) were prepared for a tough match but were still caught off guard by a stronger and faster Capital Christian squad. The Cougars (20-4) are champions of the Golden Empire League and SJS Division VI defending champions.

“They are as good as advertised,” Figueroa said, adding that the Cougars had plenty of depth and set a fast pace for the entire game.

“They just had talent everywhere,” Figueroa said.

Capital Christian faces Encina of Sacramento in the Division VI championship game Saturday, Nov. 16.
