Lucia Tamez, a young mother from Tracy, was killed in a car crash Tuesday, Nov. 12. She was 28. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., followed by burial in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. Visitation will be observed from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, at the funeral home, and a rosary will be recited at 7 o’clock that evening. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Tamez’s name may be made in care of Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., Tracy, CA 95376.

Ruth Campbell Maddix, 90, a Tracy resident since 1955, died Friday, Nov. 8, at her home. Graveside services in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road, will be private. Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., is handling arrangements, and a guest book is available online at www.frymemorialchapel.com.

Danny R. Johnson, 61, of Paso Robles, died Nov. 8 at a care center in Atascadero. Services are pending. Arrangements will be handled by Blue Sky Cremation Service of Atascadero.

• Longtime Tracy resident James Lee Jones, 63, a former Holly Sugar Corp. forklift driver, died Oct. 28. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. at Grace Christian Center, 5555 W. Grant Line Road.
