Mary Alice Avila, 87, a lifelong Tracy resident, died Wednesday, Sept. 4, in Tracy. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave. A vigil will precede the service, beginning at 9:30 a.m. that same day at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave.

Lardy J. Cerezo, 51, who served in the U.S. Coast Guard before beginning a 24-year career in the computer industry, died Sunday, Sept. 1, at ValleyCare Medical Center in Pleasanton. Visitation will be observed from noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, and Thursday, Sept. 5, at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave., and burial will be private. Stanley William Baker, 55, a lifelong Tracy resident who worked at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, died Saturday, Aug. 31. A memorial service will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., following visitation from 2 to 6 p.m. Graveside services will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. An online guest book can be found at
