Miniature trains bearing logos of European railroads will again roll along tracks at the Tracy Historical Museum starting Aug. 31.

The trains are operated by members of the Bay Area Chapter of European Train Enthusiasts, who are returning for their eighth year at the local museum.

Additional model trains and new parts of the track layout will be featured in this year’s run of the model trains, said David Lee, a member of the museum’s volunteer staff.

He said the trains will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on 10 days — Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 13, 14 and 15.

There is no charge for viewing the trains in action, but donations are accepted, Lee said.

Additional information on the model trains can be obtained by calling the Tracy Historical Museum, 832-7278, or visiting www.tracymuseum.org.
