Sac-Joaquin Section sponsor Crystal Creamery has recognized the SJS Division VII softball champions, the Millennium Falcons, in the company’s latest release of commemorative milk cartons.

The Modesto-based diary company is honoring all of the 2013 baseball and softball SJS champions by including their school names and logos on the sides of the cartons.

The Falcon team won its first division title May 18, beating five-time defending champion Elliot Christian 11-10. Millennium coach Maegan Lunn said the team was determined to win after finishing as division runner-up the two previous years.

“Their hard work paid off,” Lunn said. “I think the girls really appreciate being recognized like that.”

On Aug. 7 the company released four new designs on its cartons. One carton will feature Millennium’s name and logo appear with three other champions, including Sierra High (Division IV), Hughson High (Division V) and Waterford High (Division VI).

Division IV, V, VI and VII baseball champions are represented on another half-gallon, and Divisions I, II and III in each sport are represented on two other cartons.
