Graveside services will be Friday, July 19, for former Tracy resident Emily Alves, of Manteca, who died July 4 at Doctors Hospital of Manteca at age 75.

Mrs. Alves was born July 9, 1937, in Berkeley and lived in Tracy before moving to Manteca. She worked 13 years as a school bus driver in Manteca Unified School District and retired in 1980.

Survivors include three children, Junior Castello, and his wife, Sharon, of Valley Springs, Yvonne Castillo of Manteca and Michael Castello, and his husband, Randy, of Walnut Creek; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Joe and Christine Alves; and two brothers, George Alves and Art Alves.

Graveside services will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Tracy Cemetery, 501 W. Schulte Road, followed by a reception at Mount Oso Masonic Lodge, 1601 N. Tracy Blvd. Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., is handling arrangements.
