Last week’s Remember When mystery photo, below left, showed the Shady Inn, which was located for more than a half-century on West 11th Street just east of where Realty World Millennium stands at 1486 W. 11th St.

The tavern was opened in 1933 and demolished in 1986. The popular gathering spot was operated by Lee and Betty Hutton and later by their daughter, Linda Hutton.

The man standing in front of the Shady Inn in the photo is Bud McGlothlin, according

to his daughter-in-law, Marian Bacchetti McGlothlin. Richard Lane, Pete Mitracos and Kathy Jones also identified the business.

Today’s Remember When mystery photo, top left, shows a local business in 1915. What kind of business was it, where was it located and who operated it?
