Oscar, a neutered adult domestic shorthair at the Tracy Animal Shelter, needs a home. This gray tabby was born with a few extra toes, a fairly common condition among cats known as polydactylism. A typical housecat has five toes on its front paws and four toes on its back paws. The staff is seeking donations of canned food for dogs and cats, dog toys, puppy and kitten formula and flea shampoo. The shelter, 370 Arbor Road, is open from noon to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. For information: 831-6364 or www.facebook.com/pages/City-of-Tracy-Animal-Services/111907492220255.

Henson, a 12-week-old mediumhair with tabby and white markings, is looking for a home. This playful, loving kitten has a oversized purr. Black and black-and-white cats and kittens are also available for a discounted adoption fee of $47. The animals have been spayed or neutered and vaccinated. Animal Rescue of Tracy is a nonprofit, all-volunteer rescue group that has pet adoption fairs for dogs and cats from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays in the Macy’s wing of the West Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road. For information: 642-4324 or www.animalrescuetracy.org.
