Fans of vinyl records, sports memorabilia, trading cards and classic movies and television will enjoy the variety of merchandise offered on the shelves of Blast from the Past.

What started out as an overflow of Michael Lehman’s private collection has turned into the destination downtown business.

“I have been collecting stuff for 40 to 50 years and I had to find them a new home,” Lehman said. “It’s a pretty well-rounded selection.”

The most sought-after items, he said, are his vinyl albums and 45s, from classic rock to film soundtracks.

Items are priced at $3 to $5 per record and $1 to $2.50 apiece for 45s.

For sports fans, Blast from the Past sells a variety of baseball, hockey and basketball memorabilia, including trading cards, autographed baseballs and action figures.

Lehman is also willing to trade merchandise with collectors.

Blast from the Past is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at 76 W. 10th St.
