St. Paul’s sends missionaries to Haiti, Ecuador

An eight-person team from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church recently returned from constructing a home for a family in Haiti, and two other women from the church are preparing to visit Ecuador.

Led by Joel and Ingrid Rockemann, the team members from St. Paul’s left for Haiti on June 7 and returned Saturday, June 15

Their task was to finish building a home and construct furniture for a family.

The team, which formed in the fall and trained for several months, included Jacob and Kari O’Hara, Nicole Danielson, Dustin Just, Ashley Cox and Jack Gustafson.

On July 11, Marjorie Maciel and Peggy Haase, the principal of Bella Vista Christian Academy, will fly to Ecuador on a mission of evangelism.

They expect to go door to door sharing the gospel and lead Bible studies for children.

Both women have made mission trips to Ukraine and Ghana, and Maciel has also visited India. They began training in January for their 12-day visit to Ecuador.
