Engagement: Mah, Holtz announce wedding plans

Lauren Mah and Jeffrey Charles Holtz, both of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, are engaged to be married.

Jeffrey, a 2002 graduate of Tracy High School, proposed to Lauren on Sept. 30, 2012, during a surprise weekend of activities overlooking the Edmonton River Valley.

The couple plans to marry April 29, 2014, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Douglas and Michele Mah and sister of Germain Mah, all of Edmonton. She is employed as an optometrist at King Lasik.

The groom-to-be is the son of Charles and Shannon Holtz of Tracy and has three siblings, Michael Holtz, Kristin Padilla and Victoria Holtz, all of Tracy. He is the grandson of Charlie and Wilhelmina Holtz of Sacramento and Caroll and Joan Roberts of Benicia. He works as an optometrist at Total Focus Optometry.

Lauren and Jeffrey both earned Doctor of Optometry degrees from Southern California College of Optometry in 2011. Lauren graduated from Harry Ainlay High School in 2003 and received her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Alberta in 2007. Jeffrey attended University of California, Los Angeles, and completed his Bachelor of Science degree in 2006.
