Rollie, a sensitive 1-year-old, weighs about 45 pounds. He was found abandoned and starving. These days, he knows how to sit, go to his kennel and use a doggie door, and he likes to give kisses and comfort his friends by laying his head in their laps. Rollie plays with other dogs of all sizes and shows no inclination to chase cats. He is neutered and dewormed and has an identification microchip and all his vaccines. Animal Rescue of Tracy is a nonprofit, all-volunteer rescue group that has pet adoption fairs for dogs and cats from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays in the Macy’s wing of the West Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road.
