The incident occurred around 1:53 p.m. near the children’s play area outside of Macy’s in the mall, 3200 Naglee Road.
It’s unknown if the man used the stun gun on the security officer. Medical assistance was requested for the man, who reportedly suffered facial injuries during the alleged confrontation.
He was taken to Sutter Tracy Community Hospital for his injuries. Officers cited the man for petty theft before he was released from the hospital.
The log notes that the security officer was out of breath and needed medical attention, but it’s unclear if he was injured.

8:31 p.m.: A 24-year-old man was arrested on the 100 block of West Carlton Way on a felony charge of driving under the influence. The man was involved in a car accident and then allegedly tried to fight the other driver.
1:04 a.m.: Police arrested a 37-year-old man who was allegedly intoxicated in public on the 1900 block of West 11th Street.
2:43 a.m.: A 34-year-old man was arrested on the 1100 block of Corral Hollow Road for allegedly driving under the influence.
2:43 p.m.: A teenager was charged with an unknown crime and released to his mother for allegedly trying to stab someone with a comb at Walmart, 3101 W. Grant Line Road. No injuries were reported.
5:50 p.m.: Officers arrested a 21-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man who were allegedly driving a stolen vehicle in the middle of the road near 11th Street and Crossroads Drive.
7:18 a.m.: Officers cited a 40-year-old woman on the 2600 block of North Tracy Boulevard for possessing syringes.
5:43 a.m.: Police arrested a married couple, each 25 and 26 years old, for spousal abuse. The couple was allegedly fighting at their home on the 800 block of Palm Circle.
12:32 p.m.: A 37-year-old woman was arrested at a residence on the 2400 block of Babcock Lane. She had an outstanding warrant for criminal mischief.
3:02 p.m.: Officers located and arrested a 24-year-old man who was allegedly high on methamphetamines and had taken his 18-day-old child from the mother. There is no indication that the child was injured, according to the log.
