Wolf Pack defeat visiting Vikings

The West High track and field team had an overall win over the visiting Edison Vikings on Thursday, April 25.

The win puts the boys and girls varsity teams at 3-1 in Tri-City Athletic League duals, and the freshman-sophomore teams are both 4-0 in league duals.

Tracy at Lincoln

Tracy High’s varsity boys and girls track and field teams both fall to 0-4 in the San Joaquin Athletic Association season following their latest dual meet at Lincoln High in Stockton.

Lincoln’s varsity girls beat Tracy 84-48, though Tracy was able to sweep the long jump and pole vault.



Gymnastics

Gymnast finishes first in league

Tracy High freshman Alicia Woo won two of four events and finished as the top all-around gymnast at Santa Clara Valley Athletic League competition April 25 against St. Francis, Gilroy and Christopher high schools, in Gilroy.

Tracy’s team score of 144.650 put the Bulldogs in second behind St. Francis High (149.075). Kimball, Christopher and Gilroy did not field full teams.

Woo’s scores on the uneven bars (9.700) and balance beam (9.700) contributed to her all-around score (38.400). Kimball junior Lauren Giles won the vault (9.250) and finished in fourth-place all-around (36.750).
