They will take part in the third annual Walk for a Cure sponsored by Tracy Toyota. Ronnie Lott, former 49ers great and owner of the auto dealership, will lead the walk, beginning at 10 a.m.
Walking with Lott to lead the event will be two former 49ers teammates, Eric Wright and Tracy resident Keena Turner.
The ALS walk is in memory of Eric Scoggins, a former teammate of Lott’s and onetime Tracy resident who died of ALS in 2009. It also honors the memory of Kenny Perez, a baseball coach at Tracy High School who died of the disease in March 2011.
The April 21 Walk for a Cure will begin at Tracy Toyota, 2895 Naglee Road. After completing the course, participants will return to the dealership for a barbecue, music and chance to win a 2013 Toyota Camry.
