Last week’s Remember When mystery photo, below left, shows Allen Wilson moving toward the basket during the 1967-68 basketball season at Tracy High School.
Wilson, considered the best shooting guard in school history, scored 581 points in the season to bring his three-year varsity total to 1,114 points, a school record.
Former Tracy High basketball coach Paul Demsher reported that Wilson now stands in fourth place among Bulldog scorers. Steve Gemelos leads with 1,206 points.
Wilson earned a scholarship to Baylor University in Texas, but a knee injury in his freshman year ended his basketball career.
In addition to Demsher, Tom Tillotson, Ray McCray and Henry Villanueva also identified Wilson in the photo.
