A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated this week for Mary Alice (Pereira) Ormonde, 93, a resident of the Tracy area for 88 years, who died March 13 at her home.

Mrs. Ormonde was born Nov. 17, 1919, in San Miguel, in the Azores. She worked on the family dairy farm and raised row crops for 69 years.

She was a parishioner of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include four children, Rosemary Weitz of Holt, James D. Ormonde of Stockton, Gloria Costamagna of Tracy and Linda Ormonde of Holt; two siblings, Connie Mancuso and Eugene Pereira, both of Tracy; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 38 years, Frank Ormonde, who died in 1980; and two siblings, Angie Lopes and Tony Pereira.

Burial was in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road., and Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., handled arrangements.
