Born Oct. 19, 1930, in Placerville, Mr. Stowe retired from Pacific Gas and Electric Co. as a senior engineering estimator in 1990 after more than 38 years. He also served 20 years in the Army National Guard, as part of the infantry and as a field artillery officer.
During his employment with PG&E, he lived in Tracy from 1956 to 1965 and was part of the local National Guard unit, which later moved to Stockton.
Survivors include his wife, Doloras (Stancil) Stowe of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; a daughter, Deborah Gearty, and her husband, Mike, of Sierra Vista; two sons, Mike Stowe of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Steve Stowe, and his wife, Barbara Stetter, of Raymond, Wash.; and six grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, James F. and Dorothy Stowe; a daughter, Rebecca D. Gomes, and her husband, Ken; a brother, Stan Stowe; and a sister, Dotty Diskin.
Following a March 18 service in Phoenix, Mr. Stowe was buried with military honors in Phoenix National Memorial Cemetery.
