A resident on the 100 block of East Grant Line Road reported witnessing the attack at 11:40 a.m.
The owner of the two dogs spoke with officers, and agreed to surrender the aggressive dogs and bury the dead animal.
The log indicated that deceased dog could be a Chihuahua. No other details were provided.
Tracy police received 154 calls for service Monday, March 18. The following is a sample of those reports.
12:17 a.m.: Police arrested a 42-year-old man during a traffic stop in the area of 11th Street and Tracy Boulevard for an undisclosed outstanding warrant from Tracy police.
2:17 a.m.: A 27-year-old man was arrested during a pedestrian stop in the area of Clover Road and Tracy Boulevard on an outstanding warrant for public intoxication.
12:18 p.m.: Six people were allegedly seen using drugs at Tracy Press Park, 731 Weeping Willow Lane. The complainant thought the people were smoking something that was illegal. Officers spoke with five of the people. The log doesn’t indicate any arrests were made.
5:45 p.m.: Officers arrested a 56-year-old woman during a traffic stop in the area of MacArthur Drive and Schulte Road for allegedly driving under the influence. Her passenger, a 58-year-old man, was also arrested for allegedly being intoxicated in public.
11:23 p.m.: Police responded to the rear of Home Depot, 2461 Naglee Road, where the caller believed a mattress and person were on fire. The Tracy Fire Department extinguished the flames, but it’s unclear what was on fire. Signs of a homeless camp, including discarded trash, were located near the fire.
