Tracy High’s golfers beat West 247-253 in a crosstown match on Friday, March 1, at Tracy Golf and Country Club.

Junior Shivam Swamy led the way for the Bulldogs (1-1) with a score of 44 on the par-36 course. Also contributing to Tracy’s score was Jared Finney (45), Gavin Bean (48), Talon Simmons (54) and Amit Grewal (56).

Leading West (0-3) was senior Mark Olson (43), who was also the overall leader.

Garrett Morris (49), Austin Smith (51), Nick Carrera (55), and Bryce Noegel (55) also contributed to West’s score.

Both teams recorded losses the previous day, Feb. 28.

Sierra beat West 224-245 at Manteca Park Golf Course. Noegel (44) was the Wolf Pack’s top golfer on the par-36 course.

Tracy lost to Moreau Catholic, 230-256. Simmons led the Bulldogs with a 45 on the par-36 course.

Kimball 245, Manteca 267

The Jaguars started Valley Oak League play with a win over Manteca on Tuesday, March 5, at Tracy Golf and Country Club.

Sophomore Reese Maxfield shot 45 on the par-36 course to lead the Jaguars (3-0, 1-0 VOL).

Also contributing to the score were Jack Gustafson (46), Tyler McLaughlin (49), Mathew Jaurique (52) and Karan Bains (53).

Tuesday’s win followed a 239-255 win over Pitman on Monday, March 4, at the Diablo Grande Ranch Course in Patterson. Bains and McLaughlin both shot 45 — their team’s top scores on the par-36 course.
