Gym Force Gymnastics of Tracy traveled to Vallejo on Saturday for the 2008 Hollywood Invitational hosted by the North Bay Athletic Association.

Gym Force’s Level 4 gymnasts took second place as a team, and two competitors, Erika Pulliam and Sierra Norvell, qualified for the NorCal Gymnastics state competition to be held the first weekend of December in Rancho Cordova.

Gym Force gymnasts Payton Bryant, Jaala Downes, Lisa Fountain, Jackie Duarte, Marisol Gonzalez and Miranda May previously qualified for the state competition.

The team will compete again at the NorCal Gymnastics Zone competition in Sacramento the weekend of Nov. 8 and 9.

California Gymnastics Academy of Livermore also competed in the 2008 Hollywood Invitational.

Team member Elizabeth Higa of Tracy finished third in Level 6, the older age group, with an all-around score of 36.875. She also took first place on the uneven bars and tied for second on the balance beam.
