Tracy native George Alvin Hamilton, a U.S. Navy veteran, died Feb. 19 in Stockton. Services are pending.

Mr. Hamilton, 87, was born Nov. 20, 1925. He attended Tracy High School and served 35 years in the Navy.

Following his Navy career, he worked for the railroad for a time.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Hamilton of Stockton; a stepdaughter, Julie Scott of San Diego; a stepson, Barry Scott of Stockton; a sister, Dorothy Abourezk of Tracy; and a nephew.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Frances and Victor Hamilton; a sister, Nancy Henderson; and a brother, Melville Hamilton.
