Police spoke with a man at the Tracy Skate Park, 299 W. Grant Line Road, who was allegedly seen selling drugs at the park on Tuesday, Feb. 26.

A caller reportedly watched the man for 30 minutes, and saw around 10 people approach him for what the caller thought were drug deals.

The man was not found to have any drugs when officers questioned him just after 1 p.m.

Tracy police received 318 calls for service on Tuesday, Feb. 26 and Wednesday, Feb. 27. The following is a sample of those reports.

WEDNESDAY

12:43 p.m.: An employee at Shah Distributing, 1915 N. MacArthur Drive, reported that about 50 gallons of gasoline was siphoned from a fuel tank the previous night.

7:21 p.m.: A 24-year-old man was arrested on the 3300 block of Jeanette Court. When officers arrived, he and another man ran inside of a house. The man was arrested when he came outside a short time later.

TUESDAY

1:03 a.m.: Officers arrested a 22-year-old man outside of Ralph’s Club, 444 E. 11th St., on an outstanding warrant from the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department. The man was reportedly seen talking with a woman inside of the bar. He and another man were allegedly trying to steal the woman’s wallet by distracting her during conversation.

1:58 a.m.: Two vehicles and a group of people were reportedly gathered outside of Rusty’s at 320 W. Grant Line Road. One person was allegedly seen holding a billy club. The caller hung up on the 911 dispatcher, and officers were unable to locate anyone when they arrived about four minutes later.

11:25 a.m.: A counterfeit bill was allegedly passed at Stein High School, 650 W. 10th St. The school resource office is handling the incident, and a report is expected to be filed. No other details were available.

1:34 p.m.: Employees at Target, 2800 Naglee Road, reported that a Schwinn bicycle was stolen from the store earlier in the day. Surveillance cameras reportedly captured a “good face shot” of the alleged thief, as well as images of their vehicle.

3:14 p.m.: Police arrested a 30-year-old man and a 22-year-old man outside of Macy’s, 3400 Naglee Road, for drug-related charges. The men were inside of the store allegedly attempting to shoplift merchandise when they were asked by employees to leave. Officers arrested them outside.
