City Hall dedication

City leaders will have a dedication ceremony to mark the end of construction for the city’s $26 million City Hall.

The ceremony begins at 5 p.m. today at City Hall, 333 Civic Center Plaza.


VFW meets

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1537 will have its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. July 11 at the Moose Lodge, 35 E. Sixth St.

The Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW will have its meeting at 3:30 p.m. on same day, also in the Moose Lodge.

Meditation workshop

The Life Bliss Foundation will have a free meditation workshop to teach people how to unlock their inner potential.

The workshop will be from 6 to 8 p.m. July 17 at the Dublin Library, 200 Civic Drive, in Dublin.

Military care packages

Military Moms of Tracy will send care packages to people from Tracy serving in the military all over the world, and the organizer wants to make sure she has the correct addresses.

Legion officers sworn in

The American Legion Post 172 invites the public to a meeting where members will swear in officers for the coming year.

The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. July 17 at the American Legion Hall, 1960 N. Tracy Blvd.

Tracy High’s 40th reunion

Tracy High School’s Class of 1967 will have its 40th reunion at 6 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Tracy Elks Lodge, 6400 E. 11th St.

The evening begins with no-host cocktails and a dinner at 7, followed by dancing from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Tickets are $60 per person.

On Sept. 23, classmates will gather at Lincoln Park for a noontime picnic.

Teacher training

The San Joaquin County Office of Education will sponsor a week of intensive physical science training for fourth-through eighth-grade teachers from Monday to July 14 at the University of the Pacific’s Olson Hall, 3601 Pacific Ave., in Stockton.
