12-and-under Triple-A baseball tryouts

The locally based Carnage, a 12-and-under Triple-A baseball travel team, is looking for two or three more good players. One catcher is needed, and pitching ability is a plus. Jump into four local tournaments, already paid for, in June and July.

Players are charged for tournament and jersey costs only on this not-for-profit team. Tryouts will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Big League Dreams in Manteca. Ask for Carnage at the front gate.

TYSL board meeting

Tracy Youth Soccer League will host its monthly board meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the conference room of the Preferred Real Estate building on Grant Line Road. The public is invited to attend.

Golf clinics

Stripes Practice Center, on MacArthur Drive near the old Holly Sugar Co. plant, is hosting a variety of golf clinics throughout the summer. Golf lessons are available for children ages 3 through 5, 6 through 11, 12 through 16 and for seniors.

Specific golf lessons for chipping, putting and long games taught by PGA and LPGA professionals are also available.

Delta College volleyball camp

The San Joaquin Delta College women’s volleyball team will host the ninth annual Delta Summer Volleyball Clinic from 1 to 4 p.m. June 19 to 21. The camp is open to players ages 11 through 17.

Cost is $75.

Challenger British soccer

Tracy’s Department of Parks and Community Services will host British Challenger Soccer camps for soccer players ages 3 through 16 from Monday to June 15 and July 16 to 20 at the Tracy Sports Complex.

The camps are taught by professionals from Britain, are tailored to meet the needs and skill levels of the campers, and feature themes of character development and sportsmanship. Fees vary according to skill level, but include a camp soccer ball, camp T-shirt, individual player evaluation and a camp gift.

Soccer car wash

The Tracy Futbol Clubs will host a car wash from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the new Save Mart (formerly Albertson’s) on Tracy Boulevard and Schulte Road.
