Police went to the 400 block of Edgewood Lane at 10:43 a.m. Monday for a report of a loud argument. Someone left in a silver 2007 Chrysler Sebring, and when police ran the license plate number they discovered that it was reported stolen out of Pinole.

The car returned a short time later. Police held two women at gunpoint, and a man in the car jumped out and ran away.

At 12:27 p.m., an officer saw the man on the north end of town along Holly Drive. Police chased the man, who reportedly evaded a neighbor’s dog and was also seen on rooftops, through the neighborhood around Fairfield Drive and Maria Avenue.

Police arrested Deyundrea Orlando Holmes, 28, for suspicion of auto theft, possession of a stolen car and possession of marijuana for sale. He was booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.
